The foundation of our practice is based on natural healing methods, including traditional Hawaiian bodywork therapy, also known as Mana Lomi.
Hale 'O Lomi Ola is home to the only Certified Mana Lomi Practitioners in the state of Arizona, and the only Lomi Practitioners in the state who are members of the Hawai'i Lomilomi Association.
The word Aloha in Hawaiian can mean many things. However, in the most simplistic sense, and how it relates to our Lomi, it is love. That is the intention that comes through our practitioners hands.
Not all Lomi is created equal! With that said, it is important to know from what lineage your practitioner has received their Lomi training. All our practitioners have received their Mana Lomi training from Dr. Maka'ala Yates D.C.
Mana Lomi is based on native Hawaiian concepts, working with the mind, body, and soul. It is a deep, yet non invasive, powerful hands on healing massage that connects energetically down to the bones.
Pregnancy massage include reduced back/joint pain, improved circulation, muscle tension, & headaches. This is a sideline & face up for a short period of time. Light to medium touch. Please notify your physician prior to your massage.
We will come to you with our table, sheets, and supplies.
Please check the availability on the calendar and select the date you are inquiring about and we will be in contact with you to confirm appointment.
Corporate, cultural, or special events. Are you hosting an event and looking to share the Aloha. Contact us for more information, and specifics on your event.
Celebrating Christmas or hoʻolio (Winter) in Hawaiʻi can be a little enticing with the warm weather all year round, surf is usually pumping on the North Shore, high humidity is typically in effect all year long, but the Uʻa (Rain) is no joke, during the winter. It is plentiful to continue to to keep the landscape green, and the fresh air all around us, to keep it “PARADISE”.
Honolulu Hale is getting ready to put up Mr. & Mrs. Santa Clause and downtown honolulu is ready to invite the public to a Hawaiian Christmas parade with families filling the streets, waiting for the Christmas lights to twinkle all through downtown Honolulu. They even have our staple food, Poi and Laulau, with Mr. & Mrs. Santa Clause wearing their aloha attire. (Shown in picture)
Here are some of our Christmas Hawaiian Traditions:
A little hawaiian history to share - An ancient Hawaiian New Year is celebrated from October/November to February/March. Prior to the Protestantʻs/Missionary arriving, Kanaka Maoli (hawaiians) took these four months of “No War with one another, as a time to be still, enjoy family time, have peace, kanaka maoli (hawaiians) would also take this time in honoring their God, Lono (Sky, clouds, lighting, rain, agriculture, harvest, peace and fertility), we call this period “MAKAHIKI”.
